Visual Identity, Website Redesign & Design System

[ the brief ]

Nowsta offers an all-in-one operating system that helps managers request, schedule, and manage hourly, gig, and temporary teams — what the brand positions as "Mission Control for hourly teams."
By the time the brand came in for a redesign, the product itself had grown into four core offerings: scheduling, time and attendance, payroll, and staff management. The website needed to reflect that maturity, with a tone that felt human and trustworthy rather than purely functional.

The goals: refresh the identity to feel innovative, accessible, and bold while keeping its warm, human touch; give the four products a clear, connected story backed by real proof — data and testimonials, not just feature lists; and guide visitors toward taking action, whether that's requesting a demo or booking an implementation consultation.

[ the approach ]

Working in collaboration with Mother Sauce Studio on creative direction and rollout, we moved Nowsta away from its previous low-energy palette and introduced a product-led color system — one distinct hue per product, unified by a calm neutral base, so each of the four offerings reads as its own stream within one brand. A shape language carries that same logic through the site: modular "pieces" that represent each product and can be added or removed depending on what a client needs, echoing how the platform itself scales.

Soft ombré and fine grain textures add warmth and dimension without pulling attention from the product, running through card-based sections, rounded corners, and generous spacing for a clear, calm hierarchy.

The existing logo was retained and updated to the new palette, keeping it recognizable while bringing it in line with everything else.

Beyond the website, the same system extended into Nowsta's marketing collateral — new presentation decks and a product one-pager template built to flex across multiple industries, from hospitality to healthcare and events.

[ the outcome ]

Nowsta now has a cohesive brand story that ties its four products into one clear ecosystem, rather than four disconnected tools sharing a logo. The visual voice reads warmer and more confident — trustworthy and human in equal measure — and the site's cleaner architecture gives visitors a clearer path to actually explore the product and convert.
